Ro-Me-Hoes and the Summer of Rosé - Amanda Ensign

In 2006, a group of young women working at Romeo’s Italian Restaurant
in Austin, Texas decided to host a ladies brunch.  They quickly became day-long affairs. Guys were only
allowed to crash the party after dark.

This project picks up four years later, as the steadfast friends continue to balance work and relationships with
intense recreation: a classic Austin lifestyle. The Summer of Rosé is about entering the last years of their twenties and beginning to transition from a carefree life in the service industry to one of age-appropriate responsibility, and resisting the inevitable pull towards “adulthood.”
