The popular statistic is that one in four people of us will, at some point in our lives, suffer a mental illness. Fours years ago I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, having experienced depression on and off for years and then more manic thought patterns and behaviour in my late twenties.
The symptoms can vary widely from paranoia, elation, anxiety, rapid thoughts, delusions - they can be erratic and more than one can occur at the same time. I have sought to convey the more extreme symptoms by combining sound and video with still images.
